About.
Hello! My name is Rian Mecklenburg, and I am a freshman Electrical Engineering student at Nothern Illinois University. I created Rian Meck Cooks as a way to explore my love for cooking, baking, and coffee. When I’m not studying, I’m in the kitchen!
I believe that I come from a family where cooking and food is very near and dear to our hearts. I have gathered and mastered countless recipes that I want to share with you! Most notably, they’re delicious!
How I Got Started.
I’ve always loved to be in the kitchen, whether it’s baking a cake for a party or whipping up a wonderful home cooked meal for my family. My love for cooking and baking started when I was about 15 years old. I would have times where I would be in the kitchen more often, and times where I wouldn’t be in the kitchen as much. Although, I always would find my way back to a recipe.
More recently I have ventured out of my comfort zone (somewhat, as I work as a barista) and bought an espresso machine and have also been exploring recipes with that.
Also more recently, I have been exploring my options on how I would go about sharing my recipes with others online. Hence, me starting Rian Meck Cooks! I hope I can share valuable, tasty recipes with you and I hope you’d follow along! My other social links are below!
